By fools like you and me putting up with this crap.

One more horror story from yesterday. I decide to sell one of my stocks to buy into a new stock called ANYI. I am following the thread and it is trading at 6. Get a broker on the line. I previously cancelled my earlier sell request and after getting on line with a broker have him sell 1/2 of my original sell request. I really wanted to buy that stock at 6.

Well the broker argued with me that it is not trading he finally called bloomingston and come back and tells me it is trading at 12. Well I told him to cut my purchase order in 1/2. Sometime later he comes back and tells me it is trading at 22x30 or something like that, but to call back in 15 minutes.

Well I call back and it is at 14. Went thru the same argument with a new broker on whether it is trading or not. I asked him how much buying power I had. His response almost made me choke. It was obviously wrong. I then gave up on this guy. In the meantime I go back and check in several different places and learn the clowns have sold short a BB stock. My original request did not get cancelled, it was executed and the clown sold shares that I did not own.

By this time I am talking with yet another broker who was smart a tat than the others. Just so happened the stock had pulled back and she jumped in there and bought the shares for my account which the earlier clown had shorted me. She waived the fees. So yes, ETRADE has a few decent ones. The biggest problem is their system which is overloaded and will continue to be overloaded with their aggressive marketing campaign to get more shareholders.

One recommendation I have is to always jot the name of the broker you are talking to. If they are a clown, get off the phone and call back. If the same clowns answers, hang up and call back.

And remember, if you qualify for the powerbroker system you get a special number which puts you to the head of the cue. Ask them about it.

Later, Pete
