Fire at Bell impacts TSE trading

TORONTO, July 16 /CNW/ - 11:50AM - SITUATION IS UNCHANGED -- A fire at Bell Canada's Simcoe Street central office in Toronto is creating a series of problems for some securities firms trying to place orders and trade through the TSE's trading systems. The fire is preventing these firms from placing and confirming orders, accessing trading data and communicating with the Exchange.
The TSE is still open and trading. Some members are making alternative arrangements to trade customer orders and a decision on whether to continue trading is expected by noon.
The TSE's Derivatives Floor on Wellington Street was closed because of problems caused by the fire.
