Z,
I too was wondering about them (Samsung). But they are investing something like $4.3 billion in their semi equipment facilities, where they are the leader. They are currently number 7 in drives; are they going to continue to fool around in drives when the cost of drives is so cheap that there surely can't be much of an advantage to producing them on your own? Crazier things have happened, I'm sure. And their debt to equity ratio has apparently (and unfortunately for us) eased in the past year (emphasis on "apparently"; another shoe could drop in Asia next year, especially if China devalues).

We'll see. I would just as soon see the pressure kept up on the marginally players here. Get them out, one way or another. This is ridiculous.
