IRVINE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 15, 1999--FutureLink Distribution Corp. (NASD,OTC
BB: FLNK), a leading Application Service Provider (ASP), today announced that Vincent L.
Romano, Jr., 53, has been named to the position of Executive Vice President, Sales and Marketing.

In this role, Mr. Romano's responsibilities encompass the expansion and direction of the company's
strategic marketing and sales initiatives.

Mr. Romano brings to FutureLink more than 25 years experience in high technology sales and
marketing. As Senior Vice President, World-Wide Sales, at USinternetworking, Inc.
(NASDAQ:USIX), he was one of the founders of the industry and a member of the senior officer team
responsible for creating and marketing one of the Internet's first ERP Application Service Providers.
Most recently, he was a key member of the executive team in taking the company public in less than
16 months, with an ultimate market cap in excess of $1 billion.

In addition to his senior role at USinternetworking, Mr. Romano has held executive sales positions at
Motorola Computer Group, Data General, ShareTech (AT&T), and Honeywell. At Motorola
Computer Group, Mr. Romano served as Vice President, World-Wide Sales. He was responsible for
the general management of sales and support, OEM and VAR relationships, for a business unit at
Motorola, which generated $29 billion in revenues. At Data General, ShareTech, and Honeywell, Mr.
Romano managed multiple sales and support organizations throughout the United States.
