Re: Large Block Trades

A 100K block just passed at the ask (27 7/8). I've seen others in the order of 50K - all at the ask.

Because it's options expiration, we may not see a breakout today - probably won't - but it's a good precursor for next week. IMO.

Has anyone noticed how SBSH (Smith Barney?) has been on the bid all morning - frequently all by itself?

M$ is flailing as usual.
I almost bust a gut when I read this part:
The handheld, which will be ready in two to three years, will run Windows NT, weigh 2 to 3 pounds, provide 256MB of memory and approximately 1GB of storage, and have an improved screen resolution, Tong said.

2 to 3 pounds.

I can't put that in my shirt pocket.

I also like how they promote the idea of system management being important.

Something as simple as a Palm doesn't need to be managed, that's the point! NT has management capabilities because it's so
complicated you need to have a staff of highly paid professionals to keep it running with only a few blue screens of death per day.

I just don't see how anyone could even compare CE with the PalmOS. We have to remember the "raison de etre" for having a Palm or PDA. Quick reference, Reliability, Remote Access, Ease of use and Portability. In every category COMS is a mile ahead of the competition. MSFT and its cohorts are losing the battle contrary to what the press is disseminating. Yes, they are spending billions to tout their CE but anyone with a little due diligence can see that it is nothing but hype. Go to any electronic store in world and pretend you are a prospective buyer of a PDA and you will see that 95% of the time you will be pushed into buying a Palm Pilot; and this is done with merit. Palm's OCR is just incredible compared to that of the competition.

This Xmas I have made my mind up to buy the Palm V for at least a dozen friends. I just can't imagine anything more useful and elegant.
BTW - Is there a way to buy the Palms for less if you buy them by the dozen?
