Hungry,

Microsoft (MSFT: news, msgs) climbed 3 3/8 to 97 3/4. The Wall Street Journal reported that the company might be close to announcing the creation of a stock to track its Internet properties, which include the Hotmail e-mail service and the Expedia travel site.

Hungry, I looked around and didn't see any news of significance. Could be a leak or rumor re: next week.

Regards,
George

Hungry:

(1) Talk of MSFT creating a tracking stock for its internet related businesses.

(2) Jury found in MSFT's favor in the Connecticut antitrust trial.

(3) Usual rise in anticipation of next week's earnings report.
