Market updates:

MSFT is leading software stocks higher, gaining $3 1/2 to trade at $97
7/8, while ORCL has climbed $1/2 to $39 1/2 and NOVL has gained $13/16
to $30. Oil stocks are giving back some of yesterday's gains, with BPA
falling $2 3/8 to 119 1/8, CHV losing $1 5/16 to trade at $95 5/8, and
ARC dropping $1 7/8 to $92 3/4. Pharmaceutical stocks are also trading
lower after rallying early in the week. AHP has dropped $1 5/16 to $53
9/16, ELN has lost $1 3/8 to $29 15/16, and MRK has fallen back $1
11/16 to $71 5/16.

* The Labor Department released the June Industrial Production Index,
which increased 0.2% for the second consecutive month
