Yeah Yeah Neocon. If I wanted to make a case that that Gore is somehow ahead of Bush right now, based on somebody's poll somewhere, I probably could do that. But I know it is untrue, so I won't.

I went back and looked at the LA Times afterwards and found that there were a huge number of articles about the pummelling the republicans took here, just as I suspected. It is possible I suppose that you didn't see any of those, but unlikely, since they were the banner articles, it was such and unexpected huge defeat here.

Its just a debating tactic I suppose, where you try to imply you don't know the actual outcome and present a subset of information to buoy your position... it tires out the opponent and they get bored with stating the obvious.
