This could be true in the beginning but when AMD introduces server version of K7 and as the K7 family pulls ahead in MHz, AMD would not need to cut its highest speed grade parts a lot.

The rumor-mill says Intel at 667MHz and AMD at 750 MHz for Q4. If this is true, it is unlikely that K7 family ASPs will go down before the end of the year.
