I have a close friend who is an epileptic. I have seen a Grand Mal. Never experienced one. My friend doesn't share your view. BTW, I was mugged, stabbed and left for dead by a black assailant, but I don't hate all black people. Think about it. JLA

I witnessed many Grand mal seizures in a job I had during the seventies. <<Ever had a grand mal seizure? They're extremely painful and unpredictable.>> The people I witnessed never new what had happened to them during the time they were recovering. Once fully lucid, experienced people could make a guess like "oh, have I had a seizure again?" That would be like thirty minutes minimum after the fact. Because it is basically a short circuiting of your nervous system your brain goes haywire too. They didn't report any pain associated with the seizure unless of course they had banged their head while seizuring. The course of a Grand mal is very predictable BTW. You are the first person I have known who had a grand mal seizure for the first time as an adult and totally alone. You must have been very disoriented after the fact. Especially with the attack trauma mixed in. I can't think of a worse experience that I've had, though I've been mugged and beaten on more than one occassion. Sorry, for the suffering it caused.
