Democrat - I am in San Mateo county which is the software part of Silicon Valley. Campbell who is a republican represents Santa Clara valley which is where all the chip companies are. I would like to buy a house in SF which is yet another district, but that is almost always Dem.

I don't know what will happen in 2000, they are redistricting the entire state. Santa Clara is the only local area vulnerable to republicans... I truly think Campbell would have lost this last time had the dems been ready with a viable opponent.
