O.T.

I bought some Dell back in mid/late May when it dumped, because I thought the sudden drop was unwarranted. It has done well, and I may just keep it. I've been in and out of Dell a couple of times before, losing money each time, and each time eventually regretting the sale. I don't have enough Dell to make me rich, but I hate being the only person in Austin who has lost money on it! (Actually, this time my gain is big enough to cover my cumulative past loss, so I can't complain).

I was hoping for more of a party at the meeting -- it was really pretty staid, with comic relief provided primarily by some (IMHO) rather loony shareholders during the Q/A. But the answers even to those were handled professionally.

I don't think very highly of Dell's "technology," but they've been pretty successful doing what they do. They set out a game plan this a.m. that suggested they may be able to triple revenues over the next few years (at least that's my interpretation of what was said) unless the PC market suddenly disappears (and even I don't think that will happen suddenly).

Ultimately, however, my money's on Sun's vision of the future.

JMHO.
