What is the future of PBMs? Are they dinosaurs? Some people think we won't recognize them in five years. If they are going to survive, I'd bet on PBMs like ADVP. I like their disease management and other clinical value-adds. Even if they are destined for extinction, DSCM and PLRX need the prescription traffic NOW. Here are a couple of my favorite PBM articles. The first one argues that they need to reinvent themselves.
