Maybe he's a doctor. I met an interesting guy during a medical malpractice case, a radiation oncologist, who was an expert witness for the other side. It was abundantly clear that he was smitten by me, although I have no idea why. He was kinda cute, too, but very, very pale - he worked in the hospital basement giving radiation treatments to people with cancer. Maybe he didn't meet that many healthy women with brains down in his basement laboratory. But, helas, I am married, so I couldn't give him a call after the case was over. Tempting, though.

Same thing for your guy, maybe? Although he could also be a nurse, or a physical therapist, or anything, really.
