that's a percentage of HH financial assets...i wonder if that calculation includes everyone or just people with money in the stock market?

i suppose there's no reason not to think that 50 or 60 or 80% of the people can't be participants in the market....if that's the case...why not dow 36k...-g-

Wow! No wonder Easy Al is keeping the bubble pimped up.

I do see that stocks as a % of HH financial assets was 46.1% at the end of Q1.

FWIW, I was just got that same chart in my newsletter (goes back only to '52). The highest percentage recorded, not including the present, was 4th quarter of 1968 at 38.0%. The low was 2nd quarter of 1982 at 11.6% with the 35 yr median at 23.2%. -ggg-

BTW, CNBS just mentioned your thoughts on the low VIX level.
