Mika, I'm wondering if you watched the 3G conference? Dr. Jacobs' comments support my earlier contention that EDGE will never be widely deployed, if at all? Do you have anything to add to Dr. J's comments?

Great CDMA 3G conference. I'm still thinking about all the angles. A couple of takeaways though was the brilliant pitch Irwin made to the potential users of EDGE i.e. ATT. He basically said that since the CDMA2000 1X doubles the capacity for voice, in addition to allowing data, you would have to be pretty silly to make the investment in EDGE when when CDMA2000 1X will be available at the same time. Pretty compelling.
