That may be the case for many/most secondaries, but not this one.
There is going to be an instant 9M+ share demand, and they are filling
less than half. These folks are sharp, are taking advantage of an almost once in a lifetime Happening (anyone vote for Q in the DOW?) to add a bit of cash to the till without the road show and drop in stock price. By filling half the demand, there should still be a nice pop on the price, and the company and its owners both win. Your friend is not seeing what is happening in Qs case.
