Re: "Wonder who that could be.."

The way I read it, he said they would "get out of the pc business". So it could be a merger or buyout among any two as well?

"Michael Dell said the company he founded out of his University of Texas dormitory room in 1984 is snatching up market share in virtually all categories of the PC industry, including the consumer end. Total company revenues this year are expected to be about
$26 billion."

I guess MSD is saying "worry about those other guys, we're improving over their demise at less cost" but Wall St want's more than that I guess?

Hi everyone......I'm baaaacccccckkkkkk. What a wonderful 3 days---->
down there in the Round Rock-Austin area.

Before I left I had been "excited" over the possibilities of DELL
going forward. Not anymore! Now i'm extremely excited about
the future of this Company.

If I had not seen it, I would not of believed it.

I encourage everyone that has not been there to take some time off if
possible and spend a few days there. If one has any doubts about
this Company I can guarantee you those doubts will no longer exist
once you've "been there and done that."

A special "thanks" to all you Austinites that made our stay there so
enjoyable. You are a credit to your wonderful community.

Also a special "thanks" to all of the DELL Employees that put up with all my questions.

I promise the SI group that I will join you next year. This year
however I wanted to act the part of the Lone Ranger and cover as much ground as I possibly could. To say the least I certainly did just
that.

It certainly helps to have ones own vehicle down there with him. It
certainly makes things much easier in seeing all of the DELL Facilities down there especially if you haven't seen them before.

If some of you will remember I E-Mailed DELL IR Department requesting if available a Map of the Round Rock-Austin area showing all of the
DELL locations in the area. I certainly thought that this request
would be available and forwarded to me. Wrong! What I received from DELL was three addresses. 1. The address for the Round Rock
Corporate Facilities. 2. The address for the Parmer Lane Server
Facility. 3. The address for the Metric 12 Facility.

Thanks to the wonderful Receptionist at the Parmer Lane Server Facility I was supplied the Map that I requested from DELL's IR
Department. What a truly wonderful Representative of DELL she was.
She answered all of our questions, an even volunteered much more
information that we hadn't asked. Thank You very much Ms. Virginia Rivers.

(Note) I spoke with DELL's IR spokesmen a Mr Ken Kasman who was at
the DELL Information desk at yesterdays Annual Meeting. I told him that I didn't think that my simple request was handled in the correct manner. I think he got my point. Enough said!

Armed with my Map and my trusty Nikon I set out. BTW the IR Department told me I would not be allowed to take any pictures while
on DELL property. (Pictures of the outside of the Facilities is what
I am referring to.) The IR Department was wrong about that also.

I'll certainly Post more of my comments on what I seen an observed
down there. It truly was a "great experience".

I used to sign off any Post that I made with a simple Best.....J.D.

However, I am now changing that. My new sign-off is seen below.
It is a sign-off that I truly believe in. I hope it doesn't offend
anyone in any way. If it does simply "learn to live with it."
(VBG) More later.

IF YOUR NOT LONG DELL, YOUR WRONG!.....J.D.
