I'm in the IT industry, and IMHO we'll suffer little more than annoyances in North America. Look for international problems to be much bigger.

I am a Y2K Coordinator for a huge firm. I cannot believe anyone in the US "electronics business" would be "freaked". Very little to be concerned about in US financial circles except panic instigated by so called (self notable) experts. Is Canada that far out in the woods?? --- Doubtful...

y2k as A-Ok, scare the naive people and make money off them, nothing serious will happen, well not in N.A., i'm keeping my money in my trading account. Were you really debilitated today when the internet was down? You can get all fin. info through the telephony, market depth, quotes, etc. that's there job, make them earn that commish.

Just make a hardcopy of all your account balances a couple of days B4 Y2k should do it. If not do what my inlaws do... keep gold in a deposit box, although Clinton kinda put a monkey wrench into that.I dunno...
