Good question. I have played the game the same way with success by any definition for 14 years. You complain about sports analogies, but it would be like me changing my batting stance while already hitting .350. I am not going to do it, and certainly not when I have something very special at stake right now.

Why not just buy some aug 120 calls? You wouldnt have to go into margin, and your
return could be much greater.

As a rule, people that buy calls do poorly. They lose the time premium. The more wise investor will buy the common or sell options. Buying options is a losing strategy on average.
