Zeev,

Actually, the Rambus Partner concept portrayed by the LSI Logic ad was not laughed at. The previous discussion was about doing a Rambus Inside campaign for the end-user. At the time, those of us who disagreed said that they should focus on the person who designs the systems, not buys the systems since that's the person who decides to use RDRAM. An ad in EE Times is doing exactly that -- focusing on the designer.

We won't know if they're going to do a strong end-user oriented campaign until systems start shiping.

Dave

Zeev,

What's your take on the SOX? We've had quite a run since the breakout at 430 with only one very minor pullback (about 480) since. I would expect a pullback after earnings, maybe starting end of July or first of August. I would expect maybe a 50% retracement. What do you think?

Regards,

Jim

Zeev,

Here's the link to the original message that I posted to you re: the Rambus Inside campaign. I was looking for it the other day when I responded to your "laughed at" comment, but couldn't find it then:

Message 9994559

I whole-heartedly agree with the EE Times (and other EE Times-type pubs) campaigns targeting the system designers, and I agree with your sentiments that "I hope they trade mark it, trade marks have greater life span than patents" with respect to the Rambus Partner campaign for these customers.
