Give me a break. So long as Sun can charge $1000+ for a dysfunctional desktop
OS when Linux is free, I'd say MSFT's prices are a currently a bargain !!

James- Even as a Canadian desktop developer, your cost for Solaris is ZERO ($0 US - $0 Cnd + tax + duty). Zero is LESS than what M$ charges you. Zero = free (no money). More than free is not a bargain.

Just trying to help.

I wouldn't call your pointless blather a discussion with Charles.

So, James just what is a "dysfunctional" O/S??? Are you trying
to bring pop-psychology to bear in another failed attempt to
cheer-lead for fat-client technology???

P.S. I hope you know more about O/S technology than you do
about data communications platforms. Otherwise, I'll have to
give you another tutoring, which I don't plan on wasting my
time doing.
