Qcom is a sure thing in that it owns the CDMA technology, which should dominate digital cell phone transmission since it provides the greatest bandwidth for data transmission among competing technologies; it makes the ASIC chips that are the phone brains, and they make the phones. They are part of supporting companies behind Globalstar, and that satellite systems digital transmission will be.....CDMA (more royalties to Q); Qcom will make the handsets for GSTRF's network.

GSTRF is more risky; still needs to launch another 8 or so satellites, has to demonstrate its ability to market an expensive phone which will have transmission glitches as a function of satellite methods, etc. But still exciting.
