Yes, it means you should be long instead of short. The last trade of the day is reality and the fair market price for this or any other stock.

Yeah. All "trends" continue to infinity. NOPT has been gaining about 3 points every two trading days, so it will do so forever. By the end of 1999, NOPT will be at 200. By the end of 2000, NOPT will be at about 560. By the end of 2001, NOPT will be at 920. Why? Because "trends" continue forever. No one anticipates a trend or tries to game it.

Also, the S&P 500 will increase about 30% a year until infinity. All trends last forever, right?
