What do you think of AMD's strategy that they need to compete with Intel across the spectrum of processors - from high end to low end? They feel as long as Intel can subsidize the bottom end chips with excess profits in high end, AMD will be disadvantaged. If K7 can compete in high end then this restricts Intel's ability to cross-subsidize. (This of course assumes some form of subsidization occurs which seems likely to me. High margin on high end, low margin on low end). Is the the right route, or should AMD just attempt to price closer to INTC's price and roll with the flow?
