Fyo, < reason of why people want faster computers.>
I am not sure they really want. Most people
cannot directly compare computers because they
do not have the variety of equipment to compare
side-by-side. The difference of 10-15-20% in
performance is almost impossible to discern
without accurate measurements.
Therefore people have to rely on other sources:
marketing "professionals", Internet dilettantes,
computer magazines. The main reason is to make
up their minds on what to buy. I guess my point
is that having better benchmark scores would
definitely help AMD in sales.
