Hey you will like this.
Go back and look at the births for JAPAn and then compair it to the market then. You will notice the small baby boom they had which caused the market to move higher and higher and then pull back when they took the money out to retire.

A similiar thing will hapen in the USA, but our baby boom is bigger and the market will hit 25,000 in 2008 and I will sell everything and get out and trasfer all my retirement money to bonds or money market ira's and this sort of this because a small return is alwyas better than a loss. And the next bear market will last 10 year like it has in Japan. Yes they are still in the BEAR market cycle and are almost out of it.

Bull market last about 25 years and bear market about 10.

RE: It seems as though the market gets more insanely overvalued every day, but that doesnt have any effect on investor enthusiasm- it actually breeds more complacency and mania. It looked as if interest rates would do the trick, but Greenspan rolled over and said "Bubble? What bubble?" and the tequila began flowing again.

I take it then you are mostly in cash or gold? Except for short forays into options.

Did you read this book by Howard Ruff?

He is a modern day Cassandra who also wrote a book in the late 70's called: 'How To Prosper During The Coming Bad Years'.

KIS,

I cherish our first amendment and I respect many of your posts, such as this one. You are free to speak your mind and to say that "you care". Not too many on this thread do.

But I can't stand many of your other types of posts--you know what those are. If you are real, then you don't need those "trades" and "predictions" to prove yourself, just be yourself.

Hypothesis: This is it. We've been seeing the beginning of the collapse over the last 2 weeks. Maybe I'm wrong, I just want to be the first one to say it in case it's true.
