Armstrong: Streaming Cap May Go
Washington -- AT&T Corp. chairman C. Michael Armstrong hinted Wednesday that Excite@Home may at some point alter its policy of limiting video streaming over broadband-cable systems to 10-minute increments.

"That limitation needs to change," he told the Senate Judiciary Committee at a hearing on broadband access. "But we need to find a commercial equation to pay for the change."

He added that because cable-modem users share network bandwidth, it's hard to lift the streaming limits unless users demanding more streaming capabilities compensate @Home.
