Kahlil;
186K seems to have come from nowhere first mentioned in HSNS news release. They are a self-proclaimed Web hosting service who have issued around 10 news releases through PR Newswire. Their self-proclaimed "features" claim unique streaming video abilities (see pr below). I couldn't find them in ABI's database of business's. They have a web site at www.186k.net I went their and was asked to download macromedia's flash player (that worked fine off macromedia's site), however the only thing that worked at 186k's site was the link to macromedia's download center. Some web hosting service.
Their CEO T.Aloisio is mentioned below. Don Koury and T. Aloisio only pop up on 186k/ABTE and HSNS press releases when I put them through Lexis-Nexis news search. Looks like HSNS is falling back to earth.
Best Regards,

HEADLINE: 186K.NET Launches Breakthrough Streaming Video Technology Poised to Revolutionize the Internet

DATELINE: BOCA RATON, Fla., June 16

BODY:
    186K.NET, a Boca Raton-based technology firm and hosting facility, today announced it has launched the world's most advanced streaming video technology. 186K.NET will be the first and only web-hosting facility to offer wavelet streaming video capabilities, which will revolutionize the Internet, make other viewing technologies obsolete and redefine video as the world's dominant communications tool.

High Speed Net Solutions, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: HSNS) secured exclusive marketing rights to the wavelet technology from its developer, Summus, Ltd. 186K.NET has agreed to exclusively offer High Speed Net Solution's licensed streaming video product to its client base and will offer this and other wavelet-based products nationwide, including video e-mail.

Wavelet technology offers high levels of compression at low cost. It makes video streaming faster and clearer while improving the quality of moving and still images. Wavelet technology can provide a web site with a 2.5 times larger image size and 1.5 times smaller file size, slash downloading times from 20 seconds to seven seconds.

It is used in law enforcement for mug shots and fingerprints because it can compress a 750k, 24-bit color image down to a 5k file.

"Since wavelet triples the speed of a download, it uses 70 percent less bandwidth," said Don Koury, co-founder and president of 186K.NET. "Combining wavelet in streaming video applications is major technology coup since band-width is what consumers pay for -- and this means higher-quality at lower costs will create a huge demand for streaming more content."

Wavelet technology is "far superior," to the MPEG-based products, which are on the market now, Koury added.

186K.NET predicts wavelet technology will impact millions of Internet users, "since the applications are endless and our focus on Microsoft's telecommunications solutions enables us to support other Microsoft solution providers who bring technology into homes and businesses worldwide," Koury said.

"Wavelet technology will dramatically change the way we view movies, the news and communicate over the Internet," said T. Aloisio, co-founder and CEO of 186K.NET.

"Because 186K.NET has the infrastructure and system integration expertise that is necessary to offer wavelet technology commercially, we believe our company will help open up new avenues and markets for electronic commerce. With this technology and our delivery systems, we could soon watch a 24-hour news channel online or download an entire movie."

Check out the latest wavelet technology at www.186K.NET .

"There you can see, wavelet and MPEG technology side-by-side and decide for yourself which is the superior product," said Aloisio. SOURCE  186K.NET
