Steve MAlsin--There appears to be intact in China a troublesome throwback group. Chance will have to come from the under 35 generation after they are thoroughly exposed to the cultural and economic realities of the outside world. The IMPORTANT contradiction is that a government in our times finds it impossible to both 1)limit communications and 2) evolve economically into a modern dynamic economy. Until the children of the old style set turn on them and point out the errors of their ways progress will be slow and their economy will suffer. Fear of change is normal. Transfer of power is always resisted. JOhnG
