Yes, it could have cost us a WHOLE lot more than $420M if a bidding war erupted IMHO...

At this point in time, i wouldn't care if Global Crossing waved the entire break up fee or even paid Quest to get them out of this USWorst mess.

The only way it made any sense was to put all the no growth, pain in the ass, local phone junk in the proposed tracking stock. Since The Market didn't like that idea at all, i think is a wise thing for Global Crossing to get out any way then can. Hopefully they learned from their mistake and can get on with life.
