Come to think it, I was a little hasty. (And I guess obstinate.) I haven't done much economic reading, but I guess a tight labor market would be a good thing for the employee. For some reason I thought you were looking for c as the correct answer. I've been lolling poolside all day, brain might be overheated.

Getting back to Diem, that is not wild-eyed conspiracy stuff. On Chris Matthews' show a couple of months ago, he was talking to an author, whose name and what he wrote escape me now, but both agreed it was a very real possibility that JFK ordered a hit on Diem.
