Apparently the phone # was good until today. Someone had posted thoughts about it's contents that I would concur with. Check out the MF board Vin just posted the missing 10 min.

My interest in the missing segment was not so much content but about Jody, In my mind there was a question about why there was such a high turn over of execs and wanted to get a feel for control. After listening carefully to Jody I have no doubt that what is happening is a concerted effort and not happenstance.
The shorts had portrayed Jody as being overwhelmed, not capable of controlling the reorganization, that the company was falling apart. My opinion of what's happening is completely opposite, there's an air of calculation, and strategic positioning and the vision is abundantly clear. IOM will return to profitability, period, they're aren't any sacred cows.
I don't think very many have doubts about IOM's return to profitability, this last quarter was Jody's opportunity to write the world off, these are corrections to the other guys watch and we all know about that, they couldn't spend money fast enough. The fact that IOM was cash flow positive is speaking volumes about the controls that are in place. It's kind of what I would expect in a turnaround situation and in my mind as I watch the bid and ask points with the tight trading range someone else also believes ( perhaps with greater insight ) in the turnaround. It is obvious to me that accumulation is happening.

The one aspect about Jody that I don't think any reasonable person could argue about and that is his creditability, IMO the guy wouldn't mislead.

I think I will write about Clik! later today

True Story,

There was once a guy by the name of Osborne ( could still be a guy called Osborne ? ) who was a very innovative kind of person. He created the first commercially sold laptop, it was around a foot high two feet wide by two feet deep, had a 3" square monochrome screen with two 5,1/4" 360k floppy drives and no hard drive. He did things with this machine that many said couldn't be done and the result was that his creation was very successful. As with the practice of today many manufacturers showed their wares at the various trade shows and of course Osborne was no exception, well while hosting an after show party Osborne announced the pending release of his new more powerful Osborne. This turned out to be a major disaster because word got out and the sales of their existing systems dropped off, people decided to wait for the new model. Well he had warehouses full of the old systems and consequently went broke.

Certainly we've all heard that Clik will be built in, why would I buy an external when I know an Internal version is around the corner. I know of many that are waiting for the AGFA-Clik! camera

This demonstrates one of the obvious reason why manufacturers don't telegraph their immediate plans,.
Clore say's he's prevented from reveling Clik!'s OEM's by confidential agreement contracts, I understand why.

In Iomega's case they have to promote the use of Clik! as an OEM built in system, K.E. knew this and proceeded to develop a retail pull in model patterned after the Zip launch. Unlike Zip which was the answer ( I might add still is ) to a sorely needed storage solution, Clik! is a solution to immerging products, and it's solution will only be apparent to those limited number of consumers that buy those products ( I don't have any problem selling the external Clik! and have sold many but the benefits have to be explained to the customer ). The reason why PC Clik! is important is the ready market numbers that it can sell to. I think Glore's approach as stated is correct, they have to selectively target their market with this product .

The markets I can see Clik! excelling in are:

Camera's , They have a distinct price advantage over other kinds of storage and will state that if AGFA ever comes out with the AGFA-Clik! camera it will be wildly popular.

MP-3 Players, will be big for Clik!, The reason why Rio's sales are so dismal is due to it's capacity, these players will not be popular unless they will accommodate inexpensive media.

PC- Clik!, Is one of those right kind of products. The un-tethered aspects will be a great selling feature, Laptop Clik! will develop into a staple, it is a unique product, one of a kind, no competition and should do well in this market.

Hand Held Organizers, The first one out of the blocks will be a runaway seller.

All of this is Just My Own Opinion and the money that I have invested in Iomega is expendable ( that's the only time you'll hear me say anything like that again ) but my point is we all must do our own due diligence
