That's funny, so you like to win, too? I was thinking, I didn't use to be like that, well maybe I did, I've always been somewhat competitive, but not as much as I see around me. But if you do plaintiff work, if you don't win, you don't get paid, and your costs don't get paid, and your overhead doesn't get paid, and if that happens more often than not, you go under. Which isn't all that different from owning any type of business or being an entrepeneur. But defense attorneys, and every other kind of attorney, gets paid whether they win or lose. I like to win, if I play a game I try to win, but if I lose I can shrug my shoulders. But when it comes to work, I hate to lose. Even when I did divorces and court-appointed criminal work, if I thought I should win, or could win, and I lost, I'd feel terrible for days. Weird place to be, for someone whose background is in service and support type work, quite varied, medical, counselling, graphic arts.
