I remember the news on all day at my baby sitters house and her crying. I remember my mother being very disgusted and angry. She needed someone to blame (she is like that) so she blamed Texas. Oh that's just Texas, that's how THEY are there. And I am about 6 and thinking how are you gonna blame this on a whole state?? I was pretty sure then it was just a guy. Coulda been anyone anywhere. I was not real political when I was 6 but I was liberal (they tell me).

I think Texas is a fine state (Rambi). LOL

I was in 7th grade. I remember we talked in each class about the President.

At home during the 1960 campaign because we were protestant we were "against" a catholic being elected. But that day all such nonsense was set aside.

I remember Helen Corneille cried.
