I have come to a similar conclusion, Unc and I will see about starting the clock on the stock and getting rid of it for the leap.

Confession, bought leaps on QCOM and RMBS for the first and only time and on the same day and wow. I did not have option approval in my IRA at the time but I do now. I never even considered the capital gains issue of not going far enough out on the LEAP but am aware of it now.

I thought LEAPS would be a good idea in that I get more appreciation for a smaller equity investment and it would force me not to buy and hold. Second confession: I am one of the idiots who had Presstek at 3 rode it to 100 and sold at 7. Ibid for Iomega 2 up to 50 out at 8.

NOw if you and Lindy and will continue to post every waking thought and tell me when to sell, Iwon't have to mess with options.

BTW, thanks for the best board on SI and I glad that you are back in control of your dark side <ggg>
