very depressing surroundings. and i should be able to say this without a bunch of the pro rah-rah's telling me how "in" it is to change things!

they have taken a crisp, clean, appealing venue and changed it into a conglomeration of inharmonious web features... cold and without soul.

There's so much stuff at the top of each page that now I have to scroll to see all of a medium size message.

Yes, there is too much stuff at the top of the page. Perhaps it would help to get rid of the
'Stock talk | Hot Subjects | New Subject | Stocktalk Search' as it is redundant with items in the toolbar and drop-down navigation box. What do you think?
