1. It might really pay off to get familiar with RMBS. I can't stress enough how long I am in that stock. I invest by looking years down the road and trying to guess what the world will look like. We'll be more hooked up by broadband, downloading bigger and bigger files, needing more and more memory capacity. That's why RMBS and BRCM go so well together, IMHO. And INKT is being touted as a perennial benchmark stock for the internet group, even though it is a young security, relative to other stocks out there.. 2. Where is BRCM headed? Who can say? I can tell you about their news releases, but you should check those out yourself. I don't feel bad saying that this stock is a buy, because again, 3-4 years from now, it will be wayyyy above 140. The P/E is rich right now, but earnings estimates ramp up considerably in the coming years, so the P/E should fall back into line. This market is undoubtedly priced for perfection (as Bob Brinker likes to say), but I think Broadcom can deliver the earnings necessary to sustain this price. Yes, it will probably correct significantly in the next few months - it's run up a lot lately. But over the long haul, I think those will be blips. 3. INKT: What's going on? IMHO, nothing. It's herd mentality. Some people spin conspiracy theories about price manipulation. I've even joined in some of those discussions. But honestly, I don't think it's a vast net-wing conspiracy. I think people like to trade this stock, rather than hold it. Maybe because the company still technically loses money on paper, maybe because the stock is so new. I don't know. Inktomi make fantastic products that so many great companies use. I would not bet against INKT in the next few years. That's my $.02 It's probably worth even less than that, as far as advice goes. Disclosure: I'm long in all of the companies discussed above. If you do your research and are happy with your purchases, then you'll be able to sleep at night. What more can you ask for?
