If we shelve the "minstrel" part - which is imo irredeemably tied to the nascent entertainment industry - the Dreamer (or better Visionary) could be typified by, say, Leonardo. Howzat!!

And Galileo.

I am PROUD of the designation "Dreamer-Minstrel." PROUD! I would not want it any other way. It means I am creative (or at least would like to be)! I don't just dream, but I also minstrel -- that is, I can create stuff out of my dreams! Tell Lather that he takes offense needlessly at the word "minstrel"; let him substitute the word "bard" for "minstrel," and he may think better of the profession for which he has been selected.

The "Dreamer-Minstrel" designation also reflects my temperament: I neither want to rule, nor to be ruled. I am a constitutional anarchist (although I do not think anarchism a viable political philosophy).

And so, I put you on notice: if you think I am going to "minstrel" at any court you set up, you've got another think coming! I will come, and I will go, as my own free spirit dictates, but I have no intention of being some kind of a hanger-on, putting on a show for the sake of a handout from any silly old ruleress! Hmmph. <g>

By the way, how is the census going? Seems to have petered out. Just wondering whether I have any more soulmates out there. :-)
