Morgan, Thanks again for the advice on starting daytrading. The instructers are saying the same thing. Once a 2 week theory course is over, we have to go through a 4 week practical---playing with 100 share trades. It will be boring but i have been told it is better this way. Thanks for your cautions---it is finally sinking in.
I do however plan to do trades that position me for market moves and will going with much larger number of shares---ex 2 day holding period. The regular daytrades (the 20 second variety)will be not get to 1000 share lots for a few months---going to take my time to learn that part of trading with 100 or 200 share trades.

I wonder what effect the MM had on MSFT on Friday. There was very heavy volume. I expect it to start a couple of points up on Monday. I simply base this on news "digestion" period, earnings anticipation, and fear (among shorts). The MM equation had not entered my mind but i would be willing to guess they might be accumulating on Monday---helping drive up the price.

Thanks for all of your detailed explanations in your posts. Myself and lots of others appreciate them very much.
