<Everyone, be sure to catch this episode, if you need some laughs...for education, you'd learn more about what's happening in the world by watching the Flintstones.>

<Sunday Morning travels to southern Oregon--to Jackson County--to see what people and government are doing in the Town of Ashland. Many people here have begun storing food, others are starting Y2K gardens.>

I was at the meeting in Ashland while CBS was filming. Not one Polly in the crowd - except for the City Councilman. They're taking it very seriously. The group was formed more than a year ago. Very diverse group of individuals. Most highly educated. Ashland's a college town.

Instead of doing an isolationist approach, they're viewing it as a community problem and are trying to come up with solutions to protect the community as a whole.

Film crew was in the area for more than a week. Don't know what else they filmed.

My impression was that the focus of this particular story is supposed to be on community preparedeness.
