when do you think that you would require Nineteen Thousand and
Two Hundred (19,200) T3s coming into your living room?

Conventional wisdom has come to the conclusion that one can never get enough bandwidth. I think that someday we will reach enough bandwidth that this infinite demand model will no longer work.

My gut feel is that the major transition point will be when there is enough bandwidth for every single person to have bidirectional streaming video.

All that needs to happen is for computing to head back to a centralized model. As long as the network allows you to see a full motion screen it doesn't matter anymore where the computer is. One video stream per person would be enough. What do you do with any bandwidth more than that?

Not sure if this will be true or not, but it could easily be.
