Moarice....OT....re" How to get rich India chooses not to"....Voluntary poverty in action.........Thank you once again for a detailed response...lots to think about there......and the link to J. Diamond's work....a most interesting read...to many Maharajas it seems ...I have traveled there a bit over the last 10 years ..and as you have mentioned...hand built roads are the norm...amazes one to see sari clad women doing more than a bit of the labor.... breaking rocks...melting barrels of tar by the road side...and pouring the same out of over sized tin cans will nail holes drilled in them....the country is a marvel....controlled chaos is the term I have heard used to describe it.......telephone systems have changed a great deal...used to have to take a very long walk to use a phone...now cell systems are appearing.....can only hope for the best....a wonderful..intense experience....Stay Well...thx again...tim
