I am posting this in public mr. mark, because I still wanted to let SI know how I feel. I'm always buying new gizmos & software, etc., always have the latest and greatest piece of electronic equipment, so change is a constant in my life, and I agree, I prefer the old SI too. BUT, we have no choice, WE HAVE NO CHOICE, and I did my share of complaining, and my main complaints are solved. Mainly the borders around the message and the colors. The new site still sucks, navigation will never be as efficient as the old SI, NEVER. But I come back to the "we have no choice" argument. No amount of bitching is going to change their minds. And I think the new site will turn ALLOT of people off. Allot of people haven't tried the new site yet, and if SI had a choice of keeping both sites, I bet 50% go to the new site and 50% stay at the old site. The scared to change argument people bring up is crap. All I can say is OH WELL..... BTW, Most of my time is still spent on the Classic Site......until I have no choice but to migrate to the new site, and then at least it will be more comfortable with the enhancements I suggested. I'll say it again. The new site will never have the same ease of use and ease of navigation as the Classic SI. PS Apple, never dump the Apple OS for a new OS like Windows 3Com, never dump the Palm OS for Windows CE If you do, you will lose all your faithful customers and massive market share, in fact you may go broke! PPS They can re-paint and decorate my office anytime, but just don't go adding any new hallways that make getting to and from my office any different than it is right now.
