Alcohol is now available with dinner. There are phones in the rooms. There is a large screen TV in a side room off the large parlor. I believe, but am not sure, that air conditioning may be available for a surcharge. Some remodeling has been done; but none that changes the mood or style of the place. The food is much improved. There is more catering to corporate groups than there was ten years ago. It is more expensive that it used to be. But it is the same great place. The cookies served at 4:00 tea in the parlor are still homemade. The 'entertainments' are still comical. There is still a fire in every fireplace when the weather is cool. It is still the lowest-stress place on earth.
