A non-starter....

It may
sound nuts.

That's because it is.

but they could be talking to Amazon.com or other major player about
investment in the consumer travel portal.

Doubt that.

Here is why that would make sense to Amazon
or other company: 1] Amazon could buy into the portal for relatively cheap and once
the IPO for the spin off takes place, their investment will quickly appreciate many times.
2] This would give them a first class travel portal with lots of professional regional
support.

Rob, AMZN's history is crystal clear: They do not buy publicly held branded companies. They either create their own e-commerce portal, or they buy a privately held company. You need look no further than the recent "AMZN is going to buy ONSL/BYND" rumors. I made great money selling into both rumor fed rallies. AMZN will NOT buy FLYR. But if you want to fuel this rumor, be my guest. Just sell into the rally. It will only last a day.

I started a new position in FLYR Thursday. I see a new tide lifting all the secondary and tertiary Internet stocks. But I'm not going to delude myself into believing that AMZN will buy FLYR out.
