Ah, my Uncle Frank is asking how I'm doing. What a nice way to treat a nephew. :)

I've never been better, Frank. The Orioles have won three in a row. My portfolio is at an all-time high, as is the case with many of my offline and online friends. The day job is going at a pace that is enjoyable again. I'm lucky to have my health, which is especially amazing considering that I've never done a thing to ensure it. I'm looking forward to a trip with family to Italy to discover roots, and I'm not talking about plants or hair follicles. The nieces and nephews are doing great (and you thought you were the only one who is an uncle. :) The wife is enjoying life, her Miata, and being with me more than ever, probably in that order. :)

And you want to know what I think about Y2K?

I don't have the slightest idea what to think of it. I plan to get some unusually healthy commissions toward the end of the year, so my strategy is to hold off on committing any of those funds until the Y2K scare is confirmed or denied. If hell breaks loose, I'll pick up some bargains with the cash. If Y2K becomes a non-issue, I'll add to existing positions on typical dips.

Your thoughts?
