Rarebird,

With the rapid advancements in technology, does this then create the potential opportunity for international counterfeiting of large amounts of currency (both hard currency and currency sent via wire transfer)? If so, how do you perceive any potential impact on real hard currency (and the price of gold and other commodities)?

That shows we are very close to the bottom. Nesbitt Burns has given up and sold the small amount of Newmont it held in its recommended American Portfolio. As Nesbitt Burns are no longer on the hook for the Bre X fiasco according to recent court decisions, watch for them to fire their gold analyst. That will be the final signal for the bottom.
