He was a draft dodger who used drugs. And didn't he have affairs and drink to excess. That's about all they had on Clinton in the beginning. Except the drinking part. Ugh They seem like twins to me.

Thanks for the summary. Looks like he'll cruise on in from here. With no hard facts, or allegations of any wrong-doing, what's there to bitch about? Clinton at this stage in 91 was already accused of fiscal mismanagement, campaign contribution problems, a whisper of rape, and constant womanizing problems. Of course, Gennifer Flowers produced the tape in early 92.

Haven't read much of the gossip here, but I have a question to the insiders on political innuendo. The other day I sat next to a reasonably savy and well connected business tycoon who pays the big bucks on both sides of the political dinner contributions spectrum to support his business interests. He shook his head when we touched on Bush's election chances saying there were skeletons that will make Clinton seem like a boy scout in comparison and he didn't think, once they came out in the open, Bush had a chance of winning. Despite the large war chest he felt Gore was a done deal. After reading a few of the negative and probing articles on Bush I haven't yet seen anything that would suggest what this fellow says. Am I missing something or has anyone heard of deeper problems around the corner?
