I'm sure "Apes" are also offended at Sanders for being compared to dancing Intel fab personnel. <GG>

PB,

I hope that you don't associate your professional self with Intel dancing bunnies. Your profession is far more dignified than that!

PB - RE: "We will extract our revenge for the offense where it counts; in the fab. Stay tuned for future developments."

Aye, aye, Captain.

Better get back to work, the opposing SS Athlon is about to leave for her maiden voyage. Fortunately for you matey, that ship, she's a sinkable.

PB, Re <apes>. I am sorry to lecture you on English, but
the Webster Dictionary defines:
ape - "a person who copies or mimics others in a way
which makes him ridiculous".
This is exactly the description of Intel dancing
bunnies. It is Intel who made their own fab workers to
look ridiculous. Serious workers do not twist
and dance like a brainless teenager punks.
Therefore it is your "many talented and gifted
people" who must be offended by that
commertials, and not by the truth spoken by
Sanders.

BTW, how do you feel dancing so intensively in
a sealed suite?

PB: <<His comment may have ostensibly been directed at Intel's marketing effort, but we choose not to take it that way, and will take offense at being referred to as Apes.>>

I see no one complained when Intel being compared as "Gorilla"

I heard no one from AMD making fuss over being compared as "monkey"

What's your take on the latest Intel PIII price cut?

PB,

Have you seen the Thresh benchmark stuff Cirruslvr posted this AM? Do you still have a feeling that CuMine would cut the mustard in FP?

RE: " I take offense to this kind of fab tech bashing. Apes??"

Dang!!. Don't you think that you and your colleague are being a little hypersensitive. When I saw that commercial I thought it was pretty lame and maybe not the best way to present the tech people in the fab. And this was not to due to any negative bias towards intc. It did not seem like a commercial that would win an obie or whatever the advertising awards are called. So I got to believe that Sanders was aiming his remark at the judgement of intc's upper mgmt or its pr people for going with the commercial than with the people in the fabs.

But more importantly I just think there are a lot bigger things to get freaked about than this issue. I suspect your vacation is well timed.

PB,

Really ? I thought that the commercial was Intel's way of trying to be cute. Kinda like the Budweiser frogs.
